Chicago soul funk band Lubriphonic calls it quits. They are giving away their latest studio album The Gig Is On as a thank you to their fans:

After 10 long years the band has decided to call it quits. They played coast to coast 200 plus shows a year for the last four of them. Music festivals like Telluride Blues & Brews, Chicago Blues Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival afterparties, All Good and so many others. So happy to give away this final release as a thank you to all who bought tickets to shows and supported the music.
Giles Corey & Rick King's new project is called King Corey Band and you will love their latest work.
PJ has a crazy good new project called PJ SOUL. He is working on a new release featuring Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Joel Cummins (Umphrey's McGee), Wavy Dave (Cornmeal), John Christy and other friends. Look for it!
The rest of the band are hard at work performing in natioanlly touring shows. Ron Haynes is Louis Armstrong in "The Ella Fitzgerald Story". Johnny Cotton is playing in "Dream Girls" in Chicago.
