A few months ago at Pitchfork Music Festival, Low covered Rihanna’s 2012 pop hit, ”Stay”, and now they’ve recorded a proper studio version of the song with proceeds going towards Chicago’s music education organization, Rock for Kids. Low’s moodiness lends itself to a more convincing ache in their version, although the majority of the song is left untouched. Not really being a fan of Rihanna, Low persuaded me to take an earnest listen and realize how gorgeously sad the song actually is.
