Chocolate Banana Loaf is the best way to use up some rather ripe bananas. When the bananas are super ripe, they add an extra sweetness to the loaf.

With lots of chocolate left over from Christmas, why not melt it and drizzle over the top for an extra indulgent treat.

This quick and easy loaf is very moist and great for a lunch box treat or with an afternoon cuppa tea!

Ingredients
8oz self-raising flour
3 tbsp cocoa
4oz caster sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 eggs
4 tbsp milk
4 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 small ripe bananas
20g melted milk chocolate

In a mixing bowl add the flour, cocoa, sugar, oil, milk, eggs, golden syrup and vanilla and beat for about 2 minutes

Add 3 small ripe bananas in to the mixture

Mix well – you may see small lumps of banana but is nice in the loaf. If you don’t like the small lumps then mash the bananas before adding to the mixture

Pour into a greased or lined loaf tin and bake at 180c for about 45-50 minutes
