Lovely Lovedrobe!

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Lovedrobe asked me to pick something from their website to send over to me and so I happily obliged (jumped at the chance) because normally there are sooo many things I love from the Lovedrobe website.
Lovely Lovedrobe!  I chose a flower print dress with white button detailing at the top. I figured this would be perfect for barbecue's and weddings as it's flirty but also quite formal with the right accessories.
You will note that there is not a picture of me wearing this dress - sorry! I ordered this in a size 22 - normally I'm a 20/22 and figured this would give me a bit of extra room for those hot days where my body starts retaining water and swelling up like a big old balloon...
#SEXY
Anyways! I put this on and looked like a sausage stuffed inside an elastic band. The sleeves were not flabby arm friendly at all and were really restrictive so I cannot show myself wearing this which makes me sad because I hate doing "stock picture" blogs.
I would suggest buying this in a bigger size if you have bigger arms like I do but if not then this would look fantastic on you. The dress is a really flattering style and you could wear this to any summertime occasion and feel like the queen of the crop.
For a daytime look, I would wear this with a canvas shopper bag and flat sandals to give it a more relaxed laid back look because the floral detailing is quite dressy.
For a Barbecue, I would really suggest a pair of wedges - tan or brightly coloured whichever takes your fancy but do yourself a favour and don't team this with black, it would just be a major dis-justice to the dress in my opinion.
For a more formal look like a night out, dinner, wedding or even an evening garden party (posh alert) then I would wear this with a pair of white sandal heels and a clutch bag.  If you're tempted to put a little flower clip or comb in your hair, I would say...
BACK AWAY FROM THE FLORAL
Too much floral could be a definite fashion no no. I would definitely keep the floral center piece as the dress and relax the rest of the look with white or another block color.
So there you have it! I really love this dress and was so gutted that the arms don't fit me - fear not though, I plan to keep this and do some arm exercises and hopefully I'll be wearing this soon!
What are you loving this summer? xxxxxxx
