Yankee fans are the best fans in the world! While their team was still in it during the 9th inning, most of them had already headed toward the subway. Honestly, they probably knew what Joba was about to do and didn’t want to see it firsthand. Either way, it’s going to be a fun few months for the Yankees without Jeter, A-Rod, Tex, Granderson and others. Hey, at least you got Vernon Wells. That guy was a stud in like 2006.
P.S. If I was Cano, the price just tripled. You really think he’s going to hang around with these elderly folk while management tries to cut payroll? There are 20+ other teams that could use a stud 2nd baseman.
P.P.S. As I mentioned on Twitter, I already am locked into this Red Sox team. Gomes hustling from 2nd to score in the 9th on a ball that didn’t leave the infield gave me instant wood. Shades of 2004 (and yes I’m completely overreacting!)
