Louis Rive: 19:27 Saturday Service to Helensburgh Central

Scottish folk singer Louis Rive tells the story of a memorable train ride between Bathgate and Helensburgh on his new single 19:27 Saturday Service to Helensburgh Central. Riding high on pills a lady pressed the passenger alarm when she realized she had boarded the wrong train.

He started writing a poem about the ensuing brouhaha there and then and turned it into a sped up, hectic song. It became a stream-of-consciousness barrage of words, namechecking train stops and describing various passenger's reactions to the delay. Drummer Joe Cardle provided the beat, emulating the sound of the railroad ties.

19:27 Saturday Service to Helensburgh Central is a self-released album. Buy it from his website.
