A Special Day with a Stoke Newington Wedding at the Town Hall

Summer is in full swing, the days are long and the warm. The day is a little warmer than expected, but otherwise perfect for a wedding.
A short stroll down the tree covered streets and we arrive at Town Hall for the Stoke Newington Wedding, with building an eclectic and spacious interior. We ascend the flight 0f stairs to the large and well lit Room in which the Ceremony will take place, by now it is filled with friends and family as they await the bride. The Music was played by friends and created a festive and sweet atmosphere.
A quick and emotional ceremony and the soon we were outside, with rice and coins in the air. I had to stop and check for a moment, but it seems that this is a Polish Wedding tradition and coins are thrown with the rice as the couple exit. The tradition also requires that all the coins be collected, and there were many young volunteers ready to help collect the coins.
We proceeded to a shaded area in Clissold Park, where champagne corks were released and with good cheer and plenty of well wishing everyone enjoyed the Summers Sun. This was not your average everyday wedding, and our wedding couple made sure to share their day with those people important to them, friends and family from all over the world had made the effort to be at their special Wedding Day.
The day started to cool off and it was time to head off to the Brownswood Pub for tea and an evening amongst friends, who so happen to musicians, so it was not going to be a quiet affair.
This wedding was terrific, and I feel privileged to have had the chance to photograph the wedding of this fantastic couple. I must say thanks to my Second Photographer Victoria who really worked extra hard.
