It was an early morning start for this wedding day, and the early Sun was up to the job, letting us all have the first real feeling of Spring warmth. A really friendly, engaging and busy couple, having spent a fair bit of time on their careers and family it was now their turn to get married to each other. Before this I had not had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at the Kensington and Chelsea Register office and I was pleasantly surprised. we were in the Brydon Room for the ceremony, and it really did create a good, smart impression. A brief ceremony and soon we were on the way to the reception, with the guests whisked along in a classic Routemaster Bus, although I guess whisked is perhaps a rather generous term. A very pleasant and speedy trip in the old London bus and all the guests we dropped off at for lunch. The Cheyne Walk Brasserie is great little venue, with friendly staff, simple yet tasteful décor and absolutely brilliant food. So it is no surprise the guests were enjoying themselves so much with so much laughter and tears aplenty. Thanks must go out to to JP Smit of Smitten Photography for the chance to second for him.
