Dreamy, English three-piece, London Grammar is stepping up their game with a brand new single called “Wasting My Young Years”. Similar to other tracks found on the Metal&Dust EP, “Wasting My Young Years” is loaded with smooth, shimmering guitar lines, unique musical builds, and Hannah Reid’s striking vocals. Lavish strings and beautiful ambiance set the scene for Reid’s melancholy lament that’s equal parts heartbreaking and relatable. The atmosphere thickens with staccato strings and her voice swells with emotion as she admits to maybe doing what the title of the track suggests. Drums enter, and while the tone remains tame and solemn, a dancable mood arises like a spark set off by Reid’s passionate confession. The song rises and falls twice before eventually succumbing to raspy, desperate vocals and a delicate piano riff.

The track has already racked up over 120,000 listens on SoundCloud after having been up for merely 9 days . As of now London Grammar is only playing live in the UK, but at the rate they’re moving, they’ll be doing US shows in no time!
