The Stockton Field Aviation Museum brought this rare Lockheed warbird to the 2012 Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show. The US Navy ordered a major redesign of the Lockheed Ventura medium bomber, entering service in 1943 as the PV-2 Harpoon. Delivered in September 1945, this aircraft was the third to the last PV-2 Harpoon built and was flown directly to an Arizona boneyard. This Harpoon was sold surplus in August 1959 for $3678.89 with a total of 7.0 flight hours and modified into an firefighting air tanker. Of the 1535 Lockheed Ventura/Harpoons built during WWII, there are only three flying examples. The Museum acquired this Harpoon in 2010. Nikon D300 w/18-200mm.
