Lockdown 3.0: Full List Of Red, Orange, Green Zones In Jharkhand With Permitted, Prohibited Activities

Coronavirus cases are increasing in Jharkhand each day. A total of 111 positive cases have been reported in 11 districts of Jharkhand, out of which 20 have been cured as on 2nd May 2020, whereas the death toll has risen up to 3. The Hindpiri region of the Ranchi district has been identified as a hotspot.

Meanwhile, the central government has extended the nationwide lockdown by another two weeks. The third phase of the lockdown is supposed to extend till 17th May 2020.

The government will follow a district-wise zone classification system in which all the districts will be classified under Red, Orange, and Green zone on the basis of COVID-19 cases and various restrictions and relaxations will be imposed on the basis of zones. The containment areas falling under Red and Orange zones will have additional restrictions. However, the zone classification is subject to change and will be revised on a weekly basis.

What Is A Green Zone?

Green Zones are districts with zero confirmed cases to date or districts with no confirmed cases in the last 21 days.

What Is A Red Zone?

Red Zones are districts with higher active cases, doubling rates of confirmed cases.

What Is An Orange Zone?

Districts that are neither defined as Red nor Green zones are classified as Orange Zones.

What Is A Containment Zone?

Containment Zone is a specific region where positive coronavirus cases are found. A Hotspot is converted into a Containment Zone whereas a Containment Zone need not always be a Hotspot. The authorities may declare some regions as containment zone even if it has one case.

What Is A Hot Spot?

The areas with more than 6 positive cases of coronavirus are classified as Hot Spots.
