LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule Review

By Alyssa Martinez @ItsMariaAlyssa

Have you ever bought a pricey product only because you keep seeing it on Instagram? It's always in your feed every single time you check you go online, so you just thought, "f**k it! I'm trying it too!" Well, that's what happened this Leegeehaam (formerly known as Leejiham) product. But did it live up to my expectations? Keep reading my LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule review if it was all worth it. This is actually the first ever LJH product I bought and tried, I only reviewed the LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence first because it helps soothe my breakout.

WHAT IS IT?

LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule is a multi-tasking, glow-creating serum ampoule packed with 50% Propolis extract and 20% Multi-vitamins. It claims to give your skin an instant dewy glow. It also revitalizes skin, helping to even tone, smooth texture and improve dullness. It's for all skin types and suitable for acne-prone skin.

INGREDIENTS

It is formulated with Propolis extract, 3 types of vitamins, Centella Asiatica, Sea Buckthorn extract, Witch Hazel extract, and Rose extract, this ampoule boosts the moisture and nutrient level and vitality, protects and firms skin. This is also free of Parabens, Silicones, Colorants, Alcohol, and Mineral Oils. You can read about its ingredients CosDNA Analysis here.

FORMULATION BREAKDOWN:
  • 50% - Propolis extract: protects and nourishes skin.
  • 10% - Vitamin derivatives for revitalized, even-toned skin.
  • 10% - Sea buckthorn extract, rich in vitamin.
  • 26% - Centella Asiatica & Witch hazel extract to soothe skin and minimize the appearance of pores.

PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: Use after cleansing and toning. Normally when using a serum, we spread a pea size amount onto skin in an outwards motion and follow with a moisturizer. However, this product works best as a "carrier" meaning this works best when mixed with an essence, moisturizer or even your BB cream. Personally, I love mixing this with my Hada Labo Goku-jyun Clear Lotion or Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb.

SCENT: It has a mild honey scent that almost undetectable.

PACKAGING: It has a minimalist and small bottle with a sturdy pipette. But my fave here is the creative triangular box.

RESULT: When I first posted this on Instagram, I got a question if it is worth buying because it's small yet so pricey. Well, a little of this LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule goes a very long way! But honestly, when I first used this product, I was really having a hard time patting it all over my face. My skin wasn't absorbing it that well for some reasons. And then I learned that this works best as a carrier. I first mixed this with my Huxley Fresh Cream & More and the next morning I can see my skin not just more than plump and bouncy than usual, but it's also glowy! But I also notice the effect was kinda temporary like it's gone after I wash my face. So I started using this in the daytime instead, and I like it better. It really does instantly brighten the skin.

And about mixing it with other products, this is a light-weight and non-sticky ampoule, so mixing it serum doesn't affect the texture of the serums, essence or BB/CC cream and it doesn't feel like there is an extra layer of product.

VERDICT

PROS: It instantly brightens my skin like a skin vitamin. I love the dewy glow it gives my skin. It also claims to revitalize the skin and minimize the appearance of pores over time but I can't vouch for it yet because I've only been using this for less than a month.

CONS: You have to mix it with other products because, in my experience, it didn't apply well on its own. And it's pricey as well, so overall, I really don't think its worthy of the price for such a small product.

WHERE TO BUY?

I bought my LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule from The Skin Curator for Php1,150. And this is also available in KBeauty Cafe for Php1,200.

You can also purchase this in Glow Recipe for $38.
