Here’s a new portrait session I did recently with my friend Livia. What was particular about this session is that although stunningly beautiful, Livia is not a professional model. But I was really impressed at how comfortable she quickly felt with the camera. It’s funny how you might start by giving precise directions – which can be helpful for someone not used to posing – and then watch as your model naturally goes on to do exactly what you had in mind, before you’d even ask. So we went on to explore a variety of moods, poses, facial expressions to see how they came out. I must say this was a deeply interesting session, for me as much as for her I think.
