“You know I need the darkness just as much as I need the light/You know I need solitude just as much as I need you by my side,” sings Alice Boman in the first verse of “Over”, the second single from her new EP II. The line is very telling in terms of her sound. It seems to carry an equal appreciation for both the light and dark, knowing one cannot exist without the other and employing their interaction to the fullest measure. Boman’s sound could be described as “ghostly”, but I’d say “spiritual” is a better description for the ethereal, atmospheric quality that you just want to fill every corner of your room. EP II is set to be released June 3rd, and if you’ve yet to hear her gorgeous debut EP, Skisser, you can order both her first and upcoming EP’s together as a bundle here.
