There are certain genres of fiction which I love in principle while hating most examples of; short horror films are one of them, largely because they’re usually predictable and not at all scary. This one is an exception; while I knew what was coming from the first weird happening, the ending was a mystery rather than the usual dumb “bogeyman jumps out” nonsense. The links above it were provided by Brooke Magnanti, Kevin Wilson, Amy Alkon, Radley Balko, Emma Evans, Scott Greenfield, and Popehat, in that order.
