Despite using so many different ones, I still haven't found my 'dream' eyeliner and eyeliner pencils are my least favorite because they never live up to my expectations. I have a few eyeliners that I do turn to for eyeliner pencils which are my 'best of the bunch'. so line up, line up! here are the best of the bunch...
When I'm rocking a bronzey eye, I like to use a black eyeliner, but when I go for a minimalist look (nudes and matte's) then I like to team it with a bit of bronzey eyeliner to give it a bit of an edge. This Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 'Bronze' stays put all day long and is a really gorgeous gold toned brown that goes with almost any look. The downside to it is that although it stays put all day long, it does loose a bit of it bronze-ness and fades to a brown rather than bronze.
Next up is something a little bit out of my comfort zone. I am a girl obsessed with neutrals and so blue kind of scares the life out of me. (Visions of high school Holly with blue eyeliner and blue eyeshadow suddenly come screaming back to me) but the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in 'Mushroom' is more like a gray toned blue so is on the safer side of crazy. I like wearing this when I'm wearing no other eyeshadow. I apply it to the upper lash line and blend it out with a pencil brush to make it look a little less defined.
I don't know about you girls, but I definitely feel like a good brown eyeliner is something we all should have in our makeup bags. For all those days you feel a bit tired and are in need of a spruce up, apply a bit of brown eyeliner to the upper lash line and blend it in, or along the inside of the waterline of the upper lashes to tightline and make your lashes look fuller. I am in need of a spruce up on most days, I can't even deny that my face is not looking it's best on most days so a brown eyeliner is just a staple for me. I am torn between the Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in 'Sable Brown' and Stila Kajal Eye liner in 'Tigers Eye'. I would say the Stila one is more creamy and easier to blend but the Rimmel one lasts longer. I know that probably is of NO use what so ever. Soz.
Last but by no means least is a nude flesh coloured liner that I like to use on my lower water line to make my eyes look a little brighter and bigger. It's another one from Rimmel - I promise this post wasn't sponsored, it's a complete coincidence! - and is the Scandal Eyes eye pencil in 003 Nude. It's a yellow toned nude which really helps to open your eyes up and is like 9 hours sleep in a pencil. Yes, really.
