Director Lijo Jose Pellissery's Jallikattu is an upcoming Malayalam feature-length film.
Jallikattu is written by R. Jayakumar and Hareesh S, it is based on the short story- Maoist by Hareesh. The film's cast includes Sabumon Abdusamad, Chemban Vinod Jose, Antony Varghese, Santhy Balachandran etc. The film is about a butcher played by Chemban Vinod Jose whose bull escapes and brings a trail of destruction. Lijo whose last film was the chaotically beautiful Ee Ma Yau, continued to weave his magic of chaos and took it a notch higher with Jallikattu.
Jallikattu was premiered at Toronto International Film festival 2019, and got rave reviews from critics. The film is set to hit the theatres on 04th October 2019.
