Dutch avant-pop singer LIJO has been lying low for awhile, but she comes out swinging with Glasshouse City, a mesmerizing excursion through stacked synths, trembling beats, and washes of cello provided by Mirthe de Jonge. It's dark and intense, and the feeling of being an outsider looking in is almost palpable.
