Watch the new Lightwires video for Suitcase, the lead single from their forthcoming Modern Memory album. They are a half Dutch, half American band peddling heartfelt art-rock. The video was filmed by Reinout van Schie and Jelte Keur in the deserted village of Doel in Belgium (thanks to the future enlargement of the harbor of Antwerp). A drone was used for dramatic aerial shots and it crashed during the filming.
Suitcase is a sad song about the death of the lead singer's father, who succumbed to cancer, just when they were about to enter the recording studio to lay down the tracks for the album.
