This summer has been one of the wettest I have ever seen. Showers and storms are on the menu almost every week.
Last night, there was a beautiful lightning show right in front of my house. The perfect opportunity for a practice photo session, if you ask me.
Like the night sky, storm photography is completely new territory for me. Needless to say that I learnt a lot from this experience. And it was also fun!
NB: For those who wonder about particulars:
- Nikon D600
- Lens: NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8
- Aperture: f/5
- Shutter speed: 25 seconds (next time, I'll try faster exposure to increase sharpness)
- White balance: 2940K
- ISO: 100-200
- Focal length: 35 mm
I layered five photos together for this one. Neat, right?
I worked with three images for this one.
The storm saying goodbye to me...
