Lightning Show

Posted on the 17 August 2016 by Cendrinemedia @cendrinemedia

This summer has been one of the wettest I have ever seen. Showers and storms are on the menu almost every week.

Last night, there was a beautiful lightning show right in front of my house. The perfect opportunity for a practice photo session, if you ask me.

Like the night sky, storm photography is completely new territory for me. Needless to say that I learnt a lot from this experience. And it was also fun!

NB: For those who wonder about particulars:

  • Nikon D600
  • Lens: NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8
  • Aperture: f/5
  • Shutter speed: 25 seconds (next time, I'll try faster exposure to increase sharpness)
  • White balance: 2940K
  • ISO: 100-200
  • Focal length: 35 mm

I layered five photos together for this one. Neat, right?

I worked with three images for this one.
