A few weeks ago, I gave you the scoop on the latest collaboration from Cath Kidston. Wasn't it just the most adorable collection going?!Cath Kidston began their Disney Collaboration by releasing some super cute Winnie the Pooh themed pieces in September. It was mega popular, so much so that it sold out online and in store almost straight away. When my Mam popped into their York store, the sales assistant was telling her how they had people ringing from London to try and put items aside - it was such a hit! The next Disney collaboration on the list is with the main man (and lady!) himself, Mickey Mouse!
I remember one thing vividly from my childhood, a toy in fact. I'm not sure if it was mine, I think it was my sisters, but it's definitely something that I loved and used to steal. It was a bulky, royal blue plastic machine with a cog on the side, almost like a really old school video camera. You squinted your eye and popped it through the little socket, turned the cog and away, on a little screen, played Steamboat Willie, the very first short film that introduced us to that beloved mouse who's captured the hearts of many. That was my very first memory of Mickey and co. That, and a couple of treasured family trips to Disneyland Paris, shouting my head off to get the attention of my beloved Peter Pan, whilst dressed as Princess Jasmine - oh, the memories!
Back to the new collection, which is again, limited edition - so you'll definitely have to be speedy on those keyboards with this one! The team have taken classic, original drawings of the characters and blended them into their very own Cath Kidston fabrics to create a whole range of items. From super cute nightwear with matching slippers, a cozy knit jumper perfect for the current weather, as well as bags and purses which will add spark to any outfit!
This is only a small selection of the range, I can't wait to see the rest of it when it hits online tomorrow! I'm sure it will just as beautiful as the lovely pieces that I was so lucky to receive...
