Life: March Mash up

Life: March mash upHello Friends,
I'm enjoying a lazy Sunday morning, sipping a latte and getting ready for the day.
With the World Traveler traveling I have been knitting, decorating, gardening, working, sneaking in day trips, plays and movies.  When he's gone I try to embrace a 'say yes to everything' approach to life, once in a while this creates a very tired me (ha)... with so much going on.
I'm also planning and prepping for a steady stream of visitors and hoping to get the house ready to enjoy spring/summer.
New discoveries:  I have two to share with you today:  Weekend Almanac, a twice yearly publication celebrating the weekend, AND singer Elizaveta. I have been listening to her music on Pandora, I can't get enough of it (a fresh take on Kate Nash).
Life: March mash upDay Trips: Here's what I love about living where we do... yesterday at 1PM the dogs and I made a quick trip to The Hampton's to walk the coastline, to listen to the waves crash, get a latte, and visit a few shoppes.
Lily the 'watch dog' is afraid of just about everything new and loud. She's not a fan of the car or water... on the other hand, Jessie loves both.
Running: The lottery for the NYC marathon is happening, fingers crossed I get in!
Fitbit update: I have logged over 500 miles this year. Wowza... are you using it?
Reading: I have been doing everything but taking time to read.  I have three new books that I want to read, have you read any of these titles? The first one was recommended to me by a co-worker, a friend suggested Life after Life, and the last title was a daily deal....
Life: March mash upCharged with energy, humor, and insight, this is the engaging story of a young American snowboarder who travels to the Himalayas seeking the ultimate high - but surfs into an experience more transcendent than he could have ever imagined. In an accident of karmic destiny, the young man plows into a Buddhist monk named Master Fwap who takes him on as a spiritual apprentice. Using snowboarding as a path to enlightenment, the charming and learned Master Fwap shows how, by freeing the mind and challenging the soul, one can master any mountain - and master himself.
Life: March mash upOn a cold and snowy night in 1910, Ursula Todd is born, the third child of a wealthy English banker and his wife. Sadly, she dies before she can draw her first breath. On that same cold and snowy night, Ursula Todd is born, lets out a lusty wail, and embarks upon a life that will be, to say the least, unusual. For as she grows, she also dies, repeatedly, in any number of ways. Clearly history (and Kate Atkinson) have plans for her: In Ursula rests nothing less than the fate of civilization.
Life: March mash upAbby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.
Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.
