Personally, if I had to choose between the Samsung RF34H9960S4 and the LG LUPXS3186N, I would go with the LG, because I'm more of a tech geek. I like the different features that LG has to offer versus the Samsung. Although, the Samsung is a pretty great brand as well, and the RF34H9960S4 is a great fridge.

Also, the ability to knock and see inside the fridge is amazing; saving you time on choosing what you would like to eat. It's much better than standing in front of the fridge holding the door open for long periods of time. This LG fridge, additionally, features an auto-open door, which indicates when someone is standing in front of the refrigerator; the door will automatically open.
The LUPXS3186N also has a nice stainless steel scratch resistant finish. I think another cool thing about the LG Signature Door-In-Door refrigerator is how it has a cooling pantry and a fresh air filter which helps minimize odor in the air within the fridge. The cooling pantry is a storage area where you can store just about anything from fresh meats to fruits and vegetables due to the versatile temperature control.

The Samsung has larger capacity than the LG, which is great for those who may have a big family. It has a 4.7 out of 5; which is pretty amazing! The reviews based on this Samsung model particularly focused on the capacity of the fridge; many customers really love the fact that they have so much room and storage space with this unit. Furthermore, a lot of the customers enjoy having the sparkling water feature, offering filtered water and ice.
The Samsung Chef collection has more of a high-end look, rather than your average family kitchen. The Samsung has an extra storage space that has 4 different storage temperature settings; normal, a chill temp for drinks, a semi-frozen temperature and a completely frozen temperature. Energy efficient is another great quality of having the Samsung refrigerator so you're saving money!
Both are quality refrigerators, with great features, and reliability. And, if you're able to splurge a little more, I suggest going for the LG LUPX3168N; it's well worth the money to spend!
