With the summer heat comes a shift in our beauty routine. This can extend from makeup to the type of perfume you use. I have a few tried-and-true favorites that have been my go to's this summer.
Maybelline Master Prime | Blur + Illuminate
I put this primer on before all of my makeup to set it throughout the day. It has SPF 30 protection and gives me an instant glow. This primer is extremely light so you do not need to worry about it clogging your pores when you sweat.
Dermablend Setting Powder
I actually bought this for a completely different reason, but lately I have been using it to set my concealer. Without makeup, I have dark circles and bags under my eyes. There is no amount of makeup that can hide my bags, but I have noticed that using this after concealer has reduced the size of them and completely covers my dark circles.
The trick is apply a generous amount with the brush of your choice after you've blended your concealer. You should be able see the powder caked on top of your skin. Do not blend it right away. The key is to let it "bake" for bit. I like to do my eyebrows/eye makeup and then brush away the excess powder. It gives you an instantly rested look!
Ambi CC Cream
There is need to use a heavy foundation in the summer day-to-day. There are of course days where my skin is not looking too great and on those days I will use foundation. Most days though, I try to limit it to CC cream and concealer. Your skin will thank you on a hot day.
Milani Rose Powder Blush | Coral Cove
I am absolutely obsessed with this blush color. It gives you that rosy flushed color without being too pink. This blush will look great on every complexion.
Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body | Aura
I cannot get enough of this shimmering powder. I love glow. This is a known fact. I use it as a highlight on my cheekbones and on the bridge of my nose. It captures the light so well and looks amazing in photos. It does not matter what your skin tone is, this will give you a beautiful glow!
Creme of Nature Argan Oil Perfect Edges
If you have relaxed you know about edges and you know about edges in the summer. Since relaxing your hair every week is obviously not an option, you need to use something that will lay your edges down throughout the day. I have tried a lot of pomades and this is my definite favorite. It does not leave a greasy residue so it can be used daily. Also, it does not turn white or flake like some pomades do. It does wear off during the day, but your edges are left feeling soft and touchable which is never a bad thing.
Eye for Design Hair Extensions
I love these all year round, but especially appreciate them in the summer. There are some days my own hair just does not like me. It is frizzy, puffy, or a winning combination of both. With the clip-ins I am able to mask the bad hair days and on really hot days they add an extra oomph to my up-dos. Beachy waves, power ponytails, and adorable top knots are my favorite looks in the summer. The best part is that they have something for everyone. Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Floral Drops
This perfume is literally the perfect summer scent. It is light an floral and stays on throughout the day. No joke, I have put it on the morning and had my boyfriend ask my what perfume I am wearing when I see him after the work day. Don't worry, it is not too strong so know that if anyone is mentioning it, it is to give you a compliment.
