Inspired by Sausagemama and Zoie at TouchstoneZ, I am writing a monthly letter to my children. If you would like to join in or read others' letters, check out the linky here.
Dear Defne,
you are 4 years 7 months old now.
This month, we spent an afternoon at the primary school that you will start in September. The parents would have a meeting with the head teacher and you were supposed to spend some time together with your teacher and the children that are in reception class this year. You confidently went and joined it. I watched you playing in the garden happily. I was so proud of you.
Again, this month you had a ballett show. You danced and singed so well at the stage in front of a big crowd.
Mummy and daddy were very proud of you.
Now, the summer holiday has begun. We are getting ready for school, buying uniforms and other essential items. From September you'll spend most of the day at school. Actually I am not so happy with that,I'd love to homeschool you and thought a lot about that. But you'll learn English better in the school environment, rather than at home with me. So you'll be going to school my dear.
These days, you enjoy fairies and all your paintings are about them. You love climbing, too and treat everywhere as a climbing frame ;)
I love you so much.
Kiss,kiss
Mama
Dear Derin,
you are 19 months old now. You are babbling a lot now. You still only say a few words but I can't see you will soon start to speak.
This week you started looking at your image on the mirror and saying "Derin". So sweet.
The other day, Defne was blowing bubbles, which you loved and another word entered into your world: You started saying "bubbles". I must also add that you started saying "no" with a lovely British accent ;)
You have been showing interest in Defne's scooter and now you can ride on it.You can also jump now and you love it.
You have been enjoying the summer fruits lately and when our weekly grocery arrives, you get delighted to see the strawberries and cannot wait to eat them.
Your favorite song is "Head, shoulders, knees and toes". I don't know how many times I sing it to you in a day! You come to me, touch your head and demand it. Defne loves singing it fast which both of you love and laugh a lot.
Defne will be at school from September.I will miss her but I will also enjoy spending one to one time with you.
Kiss,kiss
Mama
