Letters to Harper.

By Agadd @ashleegadd

“We cannot know healing without knowing sickness. We cannot know peace without knowing anxiety. We cannot know light without experiencing darkness. And we cannot believe in the redeeming work of God without seeing the brokenness he is at work in.” – Katie Blackburn

I met Katie through the internet, and as it turns out, we once attended the same school (true story: I totally had a crush on her brother when I was 14). It’s a small world, isn’t it? I immediately got hooked on her blog, There’s Always Monday, which she co-writes with her best friend Kristin (p.s. isn’t that a fun idea?!).

I love Katie’s writing. Every post is heartfelt, vulnerable, easy to relate to, and full of truth.

Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I found out she was writing a Slimbook. Letters to Harper is a collection of letters that Katie wrote to her daughter while she was pregnant. She talks about her fears and worries, hope and anticipation. It was fun to read this as a mother because I was able to re-live my pregnancy through her words. Whether you’re pregnant now, or want to be pregnant someday, or already have children of your own, there are takeaways in every chapter. It’s a quick, beautiful read, and I know you’ll enjoy this book as much as I did. You can order Letters to Harper here, and use promo code WMHR for 20% off.
