(LOL at the 'shaggy' reference) (double LOL at the fact I just LOL'd at myself)
It's been a while since I just sat down and wrote a life update on my blog, so let's have a chat..
There are a few things that I am excited about right now that I wanted to share..
NEW YORK!!
My family and I are heading to NYC in December and I literally cannot wait. I have been before at that time of year and remember how special it is. This time, my Nana is coming with us and I can't wait to take her to Sephora... or Broadway. Might have gotten my priorities mixed up a bit there.
My Room
Sounds a little but cray, but as a self confessed perfectionist, I need to have my room looking the way I like it - Clean, spacious and tidy. Despite being a perfectionist, I'm also a bit of a hoarder and had kept hold of boxes from digital camera's and shoe boxes I will never use again. I also have about 3 boxes full of sentimental items which is so excessive and unnecessary so a huge clear out was in order and I am pleased to say, 7 black bags, a full suitcase, an old TV unit and four handbags later, my room is finally looking better.
Loosing Weight
I hit another milestone (which is personal so won't be sharing! #embarrassed) but basically in 4 weeks I lost 2kg's which is 4.4lbs! WOOHOO! not a huge loss but still one that I'm super proud of and won't make any excuses for. My doctor has offered to do weigh-ins for me on a weekly/monthly basis which was a lovely offer but not one I think I will be taking up on. Pressure + Holly = Failure. I don't do well with pressure. It just makes me anxious which in turn slows down metabolism and all that yeehaw so I will do my own weigh ins as I have been, but will be answerable to my Mum rather than my doctor. Yes, at 28 years old, being answerable to my Mum is still terrifying! For those asking yourselves why I am "answering" to anyone, the answer is I like to be pushed and feel answerable to someone without there being too much pressure and my Mumma never pressures me so she is the ideal person to answer to!
Summer
Normally, I'm a lover of winter, but recently I have been loving the summery weather (or the few days we have had here in Scotland). With summer comes bright lipstick, bright nails, sunglasses, maxi dresses and Icce cream. What more could a girl want?
Some more things I'm excited for are:
- A day in Carlisle with the girls
- Friends (that are like family) coming up for a few days
- A day at the beach with the girls
- BBQ with the family
What all are you excited about? It's sometimes nice to look forward!
