Mega, mega, mega in Greek this means great or large. Lebara Mobile have launched their Mega Plan. For $39.90 you get unlimited calls to fixed and mobile phones anywhere in Australia, it also comes with unlimited calls to 1300 and 1800 numbers and unlimited voicemail retrieval plus unlimited standard TXT. Credit lasts for 30 days. Lebara is also giving you a bonus $10 of credit which you can use on international calls and TXT, premium TXT and 3G data (Lebara uses the Vodafone network). When it comes to data, Lebara Mobile gives you 1MB per day then it is 5c per MB there after charged in per kb increments.
At first glance I thought what no data what is so Mega about his deal, but $10 extra credit gives you a reasonable amount (200MB) of data to play with. With per KB increments it works out to more than what it may look like. I just wonder if customers will make this connection.
Data use it or not is a pre-requisite in todays mobile plan world (prepaid or not). Lebara needs to do some more work in this area.
