With casting starting for what could be the famed Lost Boys and Peter Pan, rumors are flying that we may see a lot more of Neverland than Storybrooke next season.
Once Upon a Time is currently off on another hiatus until April 21. Though the series may not be running any new episodes for a few weeks, we’ve still got a lot of juicy spoilers to hold you over until then.
Rumors are rampant right now about the show possibly leaving Storybrooke next season and heading to Neverland forever. Where is this coming from? Well, first of all, we just learned that Neal’s fiancée is a woman who has been searching for magic for a very long time. We still don’t know why yet, but we do know that she’s working with Owen (aka Greg) and there’s no doubt that their intentions are anything but good. Could they be planning to steal magic from Storybrooke? If they do, could that mean that the people of Storybrooke may end up on the run and looking for a new place to live? Neverland sounds like as good a place as any.
There’s also the fact that the titles of the final two episodes of the season come straight out of Peter Pan. With episodes called “Second Star to the Right” and “And Straight on Till Morning,” how can we not predict that at least some of the characters are going to end up in Neverland for a long time?
Next up, we have news from Eonline that roles are being cast for three 16-year-old boys who are going to be part of what’s described as a “sinister group.” The tough leader of the group is Felix and his companions will be two boys who are identical twins. Reportedly, the roles could be recurring. So is it possible that these could be the famed Lost Boys? Could it also be that Felix will turn out to be Peter Pan? We don’t have any details to back that up, so we’re just going to call those guesses for now.
Finally, there’s something that Robert Carlyle said in an interview with TVLine. He was talking about the relationship between Mr. Gold and Neal, saying that “it’s going to take a while to get any kind of resolution on that. But in Episode 21 or 22, something happens which changes [their relationship] forever.”
From that we can assume that something really huge is going to happen, and what could be more huge than everyone making a run for Neverland? Sure, the cast and creators have already admitted that everyone is going to visit Neverland at the end of this season. But Carlyle said what’s going to happen will affect Gold and Neal “forever.” Plus, we already know that Neal spent a lot of time in Neverland with Hook. If Neal’s father (and their friends) were in danger, who’s to say that he wouldn’t find a way to bring everyone back there to keep them safe?
