Launch Calendar: The Year's Space Mission Schedule

Today, a United Launch Alliance Delta 4 rocket will carry a geostationary communications spacecraft into orbit for the U.S. military from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. This Saturday a Russian-built Proton rocket will launch a telecommunications satellite, called SES 4. This satellite will provide services over North and South America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
