Latitud Cero° Sierra Negra – Cervecería Artesanal La Paz

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Cervecería Artesanal La Paz in Cuenca Equador comes their "Latitud Cero° Sierra Negra". The Marzen pours a deep copper colour with a tan head. The aroma consists of mild roasted malts, caramel, fruit and a semi sweet finish. The flavour is of caramel, bread, grain, fruit and some mild bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 4.8%. This beer is a bit one dimensional but it is tasty and would be a much better choice than the standard South American lager!

Commercial Description: Color: Amber mahogany dark, characteristic of its kind. AROMA: highlights of dark malts, coffee and chocolate aromas. Jam of black fruit, caramel and a hint of sweet vanilla. FLAVOUR: of good structure, with weight in mouth and a bitterness pleasant to the palate. Lingering finish that stands out toasted notes. (Translated from Spanish)
