Late Aster: Dichotomy

Posted on the 18 May 2021 by Hctf @hctf

Experimental quartet Late Aster once again succeed to get the listener on the wrong foot with their new single Dichotomy, a study in contrasts with elements of free jazz, dreamy soundscapes and left-field pop. At first it seems that the two sections of the song run in into each other blindly, but on repeat it becomes clear that they are carefully linked and that the sum is more than its component parts. The video was made by Harrison Atkins.

Late Aster:
Aaron Messing: trumpet, synth, vocals
Anni Hochhalter: horn, vocals
Charles Mueller: guitar, audio engineering
Cameron LeCrone: drums

Their limited vinyl (50 copies) debut EP True and Toxic will be released on May 21 via Bright Shiny Things.
