Lancôme DreamTone {Review} #DreamTone #BareSelfie
Confession: I have terrible skin. I've always had terrible skin, ever since the dreaded appearance of puberty. The skin on my face is oily, often red, and full of acne. I have many dark spots on my face from scars as well.

Beautiful, right? Not so much. I have to wear makeup every day to cover up these imperfections in my skin, something about which I have always been self-conscious.

Thanks to SheSpeaks and Lancôme , I was given the opportunity to review Lancôme DreamTone. I was excited to see what it could do for my skin!

Skin Correction Serum

Lancôme DreamTone is a dark spot correction serum. It's barely tinted and is designed to give you a more even-looking skin tone. It comes in three tones: fair, medium, and dark.

According to global self-assessment studies, as many as 72% of women who used DreamTone for 8 weeks saw improvements in their skin and dared to bare it. After applying it for one day, 74% noticed a glow to their skin. After a week, 70% noticed a more even skin tone. After four weeks, 69% saw dark spots reduced. After 8 weeks, 78% saw color imperfections reduced.

The numbers sound great, but I wasn't so sure anything could help my skin. After all, I have taken medications, used topical creams, and tried different diets, all to no avail.

Here's my skin first thing in the morning (these are not pretty photos...ever tell you I hate selfies?) and you can see the redness in my skin and the acne spots:

My instructions were to use Lancôme DreamTone for four weeks, twice a day before applying moisturizer. I used it after washing my face in the morning and after cleaning off my makeup at night.

I followed all instructions, using DreamTone every day except one day (long day at a funeral and forgot to apply at night...).

My results?

  • After 1 week, I saw an improvement in the redness of my skin.
  • After two weeks, definite reduction in redness and a reduction in dark spots.
  • After three weeks, I noticed some of the scarring on my face was fading.
  • After four weeks, barely any redness and very minimal spots!
Here's my #BareSelfie after using DreamTone for 4 weeks:

I am so pleased with the results! I honestly never thought that I would see less redness in my skin and very few spots. The above photo was not edited; that is my bare skin, and I'm proud to show it! When I am going out in public, I put on so much less makeup to cover up my skin. It's nice for once to have such clear skin!Click here to learn more about DreamTone and the #BareSelfie project. If you'd like to give Lancôme DreamTone a try, it is available at Lancome.com and department stores nationwide.
