My Take On The Product
The Lakme Gloss Addict Lipstick comes in a glossy packing with a plastic cap. The packing is delicate and hence it is a little difficult to carry around. I find the cap to be loose and sometimes it just falls off. I actually picked up the lipstick in a blog sale, hence it cost me around just Rs 250. The shade I picked was desert rose. The shade desert rose is a soft muted glossy pink. The shade has no undertones to it. It suits almost fair to medium skin tones.
Coming to the texture of the lipstick- what I love the most about the gloss addict lipstick is that it is not at all sticky or gummy like other glosses. It is buttery smooth, glides very easily on the lips. I am happy that I can leave my hair open when I apply this lipstick, as it won't stick to my hair. The glossy addict lipstick gives a nice shine and coverage.
The gloss has a decent staying power of 4hrs after which you need touch ups. The shade is pigmented, even though it's a muted pink, one swipe give a nice soft pop of colour. The shade is more of a day wear.
I really like the concept of a gloss lipstick. You don't have to splurge on buying an extra gloss. The only pinch is that i find the range to be a bit pricey. Overall, it is a good buy and lovely shades to choose from
Final Recommendation
I really like this gloss lipstick concept. I guess they reduce the purchase of a gloss. Though a bit pricey, i guess it's a good buy. I definitely recommend the Lakme Gloss addict range.
