The Infirmary Church: San Sebastian Church
The church, situated in Lumban which is one of the oldest town in Laguna and was the primary mission of the friars when evangelizing the southern tagalog area, particularly laguna.
Once the biggest church in all of Laguna, the San Sebatian church was built by franciscans in the 1500's with saint Francis of Assisi as its patron saint. However through the years with the change of administrators of the church the patron saint was also changed to its current.
The most important role of the church probably, is that it was used as a infirmary during the american liberation of the Philippines during the Japanese occupation.
As we go through the rooms I couldn't help but admire the blue doors it has on the convent side of the structure.
Lumban is a fourth class municipality in the province of Laguna.
