Christian churches in the United States are going to Hell in a wheelbarrow.
In January 2015, news came that a Kansas Episcopal church held a fundraiser for the abortion mill Planned Parenthood. Now a Presbyterian church in Louisiana has joined the blood lust.
Saynsumthn blogger Carole Novielli reports, via Life News, April 9, 2015, that last month, the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans held a “Stand with Women” rally in support of a new Planned Parenthood abortion facility in the city.
A statement about the rally on the church website reads:
Recently First Presbyterian opened our doors to a impromptu Planned Parenthood rally that was enthusiastically attended by more than 200 supporters, including Councilwomen Latoya Cantrell and Susan Guidry, both of whom are passionately and consistently concerned about the state of health care in our city. We are looking forward to further events and lobbying our government in Baton Rouge for more funding for mental and physical health services in Louisiana.
First Presbyterian is committed to caring for the bodies as well as the souls of our community and supports the work that Planned Parenthood is doing in our neighborhood to build a heath care center.
Here’s a video of the sickening rally, with one woman after another declaring she “stands for women” is an enthusiastic supporter of killing innocent defenseless babies.
City Council member, LaToya Cantrell told the crowd, “It feels great to be here this afternoon knowing that the pews are filled with majority women who are standing up for the rights that we all deserve.”
Rev. Fred J. Powell, III is the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans. In 2014, Powell introduced the Planned Parenthood abortion chain this way in the church bulletin:
Today, We welcome our soon to be neighbors, Planned Parenthood of New Orleans. They will present a minute for mission this morning. Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is building a new health center on South Claiborne. Planned Parenthood is a trusted quality health care provider which has been operating a health center on Magazine Street for thirty years. The new health center is scheduled to open in 2015 and will provide well women exams, testing for STIs and HIV, cancer screenings and other related reproductive health services. In addition to health care services, Planned Parenthood provides age appropriate health education, parent education and healthy pregnancy education. Planned Parenthood is a community partner with many health and education programs
By “other related reproductive health services,” the “reverend” was referring to abortion — the deliberate, premeditated murder of innocent, defenseless human beings. Or doesn’t the “reverend” know that abortion accounts for 94% of Planned Parenthood’s for-profit business?
As or Planned Parenthood’s “education” that’s so extolled by the “reverend,” does he not know that its idea of education is teaching high school students about sex toys and porn and that there’s no need to tell your sex partners you have AIDS?
