La Boheme in Munich, Sold out

Posted on the 23 March 2012 by Irinastanescu
Today Bayerische Staatsoper put on sale the tickets left after all those that applied and prayed got what they wanted. The applications were sent even one year in advance.
So no surprises that La Boheme (Gheorghiu/Calleja), Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Villazon/Damrau) and Jonas Kaufmann's recital are sold out. They are all part of July Opera Festival. There are tickets still available for other performances. But...
Two alternatives available: keep looking for returns. Or queue at the opera house on the day of the performance and maybe somebody will give up the ticket. Bayerische Staatsoper kept the old fashioned way to sell tickets, by application. You don't know what you have to do to get tickets. Apparently there's no rule. You have to be lucky.
Congratulations to the happy owners!
