L’Oreal Prue Clay Mask Exfoliate and Refine Pores

Hi everyone!

You all must be aware of the recent launch by L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay mask.

It comes in three different variants:
1. Purify and Mattify
2. Detoxicity
3. Exfoliate & Refine Pores

All the three products are easily available and can be used according to the skin type. People with oily skin should go for the first, women who have sensitive skin towards pollutants should go for the second. I am currently using the third one, which is for pores. One more thing I would like to share is that all the three products are available in a combined pack as well. One can use it accordingly on the different areas on the face (multi-masking), keeping in mind the treatment it requires.

For example-

If you have pores on the cheeks, apply the third one specifically to that area.
If you have excess sebum glands on your forehead, go for the first one.
Use the second one, on places which are affected due to environmental damage.

So lets quickly start with the review on the fabulous product by L’Oreal.

What L’Oreal says:

Indulgent. Transformative. Perfectly Clean. L’Oréal Paris Skin Experts have created a super-charged pure clay mask enhanced with Red Algae Extract to exfoliate and refine your skin in just 10 minutes. Our unique and efficacious formula provides a multi-sensorial, fragrant experience while potent pure clays and volcanic rock exfoliate dead skin cells and smooth surface imperfections. Pores are visibly minimized. Dead cells, dirt and oil are removed from skin. After use, imperfections are less visible. Skin feels as though it can breathe better. My experience with L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Exfoliate and Refine Pores

Packaging:

The product comes in a glass jar with a green lid on it. The jar is transparent in color, thus one can keep a watch on the product quantity. It comes in a very fancy outer cover. I hope it had an applicator, along with the product. Overall the packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly too!

The face scrub comes in a light red color, with scrubbing granules in it. The granules are not very gentle ones so one cannot use it daily. It says on the pack itself, that it should be used twice in a week. The red color is probably due to the active ingredient that the product contains.

Fragrance of L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Exfoliate and Refine Pores

The product has a strong fragrance, almost somewhat like red mud. I personally, didn’t like the smell but I need to put it on for like 15 minutes maximum and the smell goes away within minutes of washing. Not a big deal!

Effectiveness

I don’t have large pores but yes I do have small ones which are due to excessive foundation use or the pollution. No matter how many good primers I use but yes, these pores are uncontrollable. So I was really excited to use this mask for this much-hyped brand. I applied a good amount, focusing more on the areas that have pores.

I prefer to apply this mask at night before I am off to sleep. After 15 minutes of application, I washed the mask carefully exfoliating while removing it with cold water. Yes, I did observe an immediate freshness and brightness on my face. It did work on the pores to some extent but I think it would show better results with regular usage, like twice a week.

Most of the scrubs do make our skin dry or patchy but this one did not! My skin felt healing hydrated and fresh. It is like a mini-facial at home.

Would I recommend L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask Exfoliate and Refine Pores?

I totally recommend this to people who have small pores issue and are looking for a quick result. It is readily available all over the stores and sometimes on a really good deal on Nykaa.

Final Verdict

This mask worked very well on my skin. In fact, this is one of my best masks till date, it does a dual job of an exfoliator and mask. It goes well with beauties of all skin types- even the sensitive ones! I would definitely try the other variants too from the brand

🙂
