Have you ever wanted to do something super fun and colour your hair temporarily? If you are like me then the new L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk is for you!!
Capturing the latest trend in hair, L’Oreal Professionnel introduces NEW Hairchalk temporary hair colours – the 1st color polish for hair from L’Oreal Professionnel! With 6 bold fashion shades to suit every style and mood, coloured hair is your best new hair accessory.
Hair chalks can create all sorts of wonderful funky hairstyles, the possibilities are endless!! It just depends on how you want to style your own hair. For me, I like adding highlights through my hair. In some of the L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk ads, you can create colourful braids and ombre hair.
The L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk is not your typical hair chalk. The chalk itself actually comes in liquid form and you apply onto the hair through a padded applicator. The packaging is pretty nifty looking, comes in a white squeezy bottle. When you shake it, the bottle rattles similar to those spray paint cans… less the nasty smell.
How to use:
- Start with dry hair
- Put on gloves
- Apply 3-4 drops of the hair chalk on to the padded applicator
- Swipe the applicator through your hair
- Comb through hair so that hair chalk is applied evenly
- Wait a minute or two for it to dry (I used a blow dryer to speed up the process)
- Voila!
Additional info:

I was lucky enough to have been invited to the L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk launch held at Xiang Hair about a month ago. On the night, we had the opportunity of getting a professional to apply the hair chalk onto our hair. I wanted to go with my two favorite colours – pink and purple. The above photo was taken at the event. I was a little skeptical whether this can be used on dark coloured hair but boy was I wrong, look how bright the colours came out!! The hair chalk lasted about 4 washes in my hair. After I washed it out, I tried it again but this time on my own and at home. I found the process to be quite easy and what surprised me the most was that there was zero transfer, my pillow case was clean!
It is recommended that you visit a L’Oreal Professionel salon and have the hair chalk applied on you. Once you have learned the tips and tricks, take it home and do it yourself.

I was invited as a guest to the L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Chalk launch, the hair chalk was provided in our goodie bags. I was not obligated to review the product and all opinions are my own.
