Generally matte lipsticks can be drying for the lips. So it is better to hydrate the lips well before applying it. The colours are very pigmented and rich. Just one swipe will bring out a nice color on the lips. The staying power is pretty good and it can actually stay for a long period without bleeding. It smudges a little after having food or drink but the beautiful red stain remain as it is. The formula is neither very moisturizing nor super dry.
