Comfort is king even in the most professional of workplace environments. Women are saying, “no more” to the idea that they have to be uncomfortable all day just to look appropriate at work. With the casualization of the workplace in America, finding the balance of comfort and professionalism can be tricky. This is why I like knit blazers as an alternative to traditional ones.

Below, I have put together four outfits using knit blazers for work to give you some inspiration.

St. John may be at the top tier of the fashion price point for professional-wear, but they are masters of professional knitwear. What’s even better is the fact that these pieces can often be blocked if you gain or lose weight.

I styled this St. John knit jacket with a structured jersey dress in navy from The Fold. I finished the outfit with a blue bag from Prada, nude suede pumps and a mother-of-pearl abalone disc necklace.

Not every workplace requires a traditional blazer making this cardigan/jacket hybrid from Hobbs a great alternative. I styled it with a sleeveless asymmetric top and cropped pants. I finished the outfit with a pair of vermillion pumps from M.M. Lafleur, ALLSAINTS bag and grey pendant from Kendra Scott.

Wearing a jumpsuit for work is a new concept for the workplace but it really works if the jumpsuit is professionally appropriate, of course. I styled this pink jumpsuit from Trina Turk and navy knit blazer from Polo Ralph Lauren. I finished the outfit with navy pumps, an off-white bag, and a Y necklace.

In this last look, I styled this white knit blazer from 1901 with a chambray shirt and a tapestry skirt from J. Crew. I finished the look with a pair of orange pumps from Marc Fisher, a hunter green bag from Ted Baker and a link necklace from Hobbs.
