KitKat Takes Over 20% of All Android Devices, Jelly Bean Still Rules with 54%

While KitKat is winning Android, the current king of Android OS, Jelly Bean appears to be losing its’ share bit by bit. Even though Jelly Bean still holds the throne running on 54.2 percent of all Android devices, it’s a downfall compared to 55.5 percent in July. In addition, Ice Cream Sandwich still runs on 10.6 percent of Android devices, while Gingerbread takes up 13.6 percent of global share.

It’s crystal clear that KitKat will defeat Jelly Bean in a matter of months, to take the throne from Jelly Bean. Although, it won’t last too long. Soon, Google’s latest Android L will join the club, and we will get to see quite a competition in the Android iteration battle.
