- Chuck Tanner Woman In Baseball Award - Judy Carpenter-Barada ( St.Louis Cardinals Director of Major League Administration)
* Kent Tekulve will be serving as the 2015 Chuck Tanner Banquet "Honorary Chairperson"
* Pittsburgh Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle and Pittsburgh Pirates Owner Bob Nutting will also be at the Chuck Tanner Banquet Awards.

Texas Rangers Jeff Banister Selected as the 2015 Chuck Tanner MLB Manager of the Year



Jeff Banister the current manager of the Texas Rangers, was chosen by a national selection group appointed by the Chuck Tanner Awards committee. Before joining the Rangers, Banister spent 29 years within Pittsburgh Pirate the organization as a player and coach in both the Pirates' major and minor league system The Rangers hired Banister as their manager during the 2014–15 offseason. He led the Rangers into post-season play with an 88 - 74 record

The 2015 Annual Chuck Tanner Awards Banquet sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh
The highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Chuck Tanner MLB Manager of the Year Award.

Previous winners include Buck Showalter (2014, Baltimore Orioles), Clint Hurdle (2013, Pittsburgh Pirates),
Jim Leyland (2011, Detroit Tigers), and others. The 2015 award winner will be announced on October 6, 2015.

The Chuck Tanner Awards Banquet is a charitable event – proceeds support Rotary Club of Pittsburgh
operations and its programs, including:

• Annual High School Ethics Symposium (400+ Student Attendees per year)
• Rotary Youth Post High School Scholarships
• Polio Plus Worldwide
  

The Co-Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Dan Zangrilli of 93.7-FM “The Fan” and Joe Klimchak
of the Pirates onfield broadcast team. Returning to conduct the live auction will be Rotary’s very own
John Chamberlin.
With this year’s theme of “Celebrating PNC Park”, Erie, PA, native and nationally recognized Celebrity Sports
Artist and Disney Master Artist, Kevin-John, will return to create a special limited edition print of PNC Park
for everyone in attendance and will be present to personally sign this beautiful piece of artwork.
Kevin-John's artwork has been showcased on ESPN, Spike TV, and NBC, at Super Bowl XXXIX, XL, XLI and the
PGATour.
