Kings of Leon have always had a way of dipping rock and roll into their sweetly southern roots and coming out with something undeniably unique and powerful. Though many of you may not be as keen on them as you once were, the band is obviously not letting up, an effort we can see clearly with their second single, “Wait For Me”, off their upcoming album Mechanical Bull. Following the first, called “Supersoaker”, this new single takes the pace down a notch. Inordinate drums push forward churning guitars while Caleb Followill’s sweet vocals stitch their way in between both, letting us know that “it’s all better now.” This melancholic tune is a pleasure to listen to and fits in well behind the more upbeat “Supersoaker”, both of which definitely have us excited for their new album. Listen to the song above and be sure to catch Mechanical Bull when it comes out Sept. 24th.
