I have rising 1st graders!! I can’t believe my babies aren’t babies any moreL. It’s good that they are growing, very thankful that they’re healthy and becoming more beautiful every day, but I really miss my babies. I say “Baby come here, or that’s my baby” and I get back in reply “Mommy I’m not a baby”; I say even when you are a mother of your own babies, you will be my baby!
My Babies graduated from Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago, so of course a cake was in order. I wanted to make it especially for their personally and to their liking. My girls always draw rainbows so I thought a rainbow cake would be great. Baby A’s favorite candy is skittles and Baby B’s favorite is M&M so they were added for decorations.
I used a vanilla cake recipe and vanilla buttercream icing.Place the cake into different bowls and dye the cake batters with your choice of food coloring.Add each bowl of cake batter into a prepared cake pan; no format just one on top of the other until all the cake batter is added into the cake pan. Bakedand ice the cake.Very tasty treat for my BABIES! J
