This story makes me tear up.
How can some people be so cruel as to leave two kittens to die from cold and starvation in the snowy wilderness.
God bless the kind man who spotted the styrofoam box containing the kittens and took them home and nursed them back to health.

From imgur.com, Dec. 27, 2013:
My dad came home after work and said he found a box with two kittens in the snow.
We noticed that the box was placed under some branches. Presumably to keep the top on. The box itself is white, you can barely see it from the road. When I peaked in, my heart broke. This kitten is obviously very sick and cold. There are two dishes of [frozen] food with a blanket. But wait! There are TWO cats. To give you some perspective, the next pictures show you the two views from the road where the cats were found. There’s literally nothing out here. No houses. No traffic. The only reason these cats were found is because my dad was driving by. We picked up the box and brought the cats to our home. Here is the cat that was at the back of the box. It’s visibly more healthy than the other. But the other kitten is very sick, covered in his own feces and struggling to stay alive. If separated at all, the kittens will cry out. They are terrified to be without each other. The kittens were swaddled in blankets in an attempt to raise their body temperature. One kitten responded very well to the warmth and love, and began purring like crazy. She also cuddled and nuzzled anyone who would be close to her. Her brother, however, needed to get to the vet ASAP. Luckily, they were both attended to and are on the road to a full recovery.
