Take two lengths of pipe cleaners in the color of your choice.
Bend the ends together to create a circle. You may need to check that it fits on your child's head first.
Find a large circle shape to use as a stencil, I used a jar lid.
Trace out two circle shapes two inches above the bottom of your paper. Then add two lines connecting them.
Cut them out. Obviously, I cut these out myself since my boys aren't at that stage yet.
But my preschooler did just fine.
Create a fold along the length of your paper strip.
Now add your white glue. Don't be shy, you'll need much more than a few dabs, this is what holds the pipe cleaner.
Now you'll glue the pipe cleaner circle along the paper fold you created. Press it firmly with your fingers.
To keep it in place until it's dry, add clothespins along the edge, like this.
Set aside to dry.
Do another craft while you wait!
Once they're dry, try them on and do your best Mickey Mouse impression.
Cute!!
The kids love them. And they used them all week for dress up!
At first, my daughter wanted to add a red polkadot bow to hers for a "Minnie Mouse", but changed her mind at the last minute. But it something to add for a girl if she so wishes!
