Khushi’s Poignant, Powerful Pop [stream]

What is it exactly that distinguishes the exceptional from the forgettable? It’s often referred to as “x-factor,” and whatever that “x” represents, London singer-songwriter Khushi has got it. The four tracks on his Soundcloud are made up of warm, pensive acoustic pop with minimal digital effects. “Magpie” stands out among the tracks for its catchy, sweet refrain, “I want you, not somebody else…” Simplicity suits Khushi by allowing his poignant lyrics and pop melodies to win us over.
