Kesari Is Bollywood’s ‘300’ | Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra

Anurag Singh's Kesari is a period war drama feature film in Hindi. Kesari stars the fresh pairing of Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles.

Anurag last directed a Bollywood film back in 2007 titled Raqeeb which was also his debut feature film, he then went on to make a number of Punjabi films which were both critically acclaimed as well as did good business. Kesari is Anurag's second Bollywood film and is based on The Battle of Saragarhi. The story is about army of mere 21 sikhs who fought valliantly against 10,000 Afghans in 1897. The film is set to hit the screen of 21st March.
