Kele Ke Kababa

By Travelrasoi @travelrasoi

The fifth manifestation of Durga is Skandmata who is worshiped on the fifth day of the Navratri, also known as Panchami.  When literally translated, Skandamata means the mother of Skanda, another name that is associated with Lord Karthikeya. As Goddess Parvati became the mother of Lord Skanda Karthikeya, it led to the origin of Skandamata’s name. Maa Skandmata is the mother of Kumar Kartikeya and is worshipped on the 5th day of Navratri. Banana is offered to the Goddess as Bhog as it is believed that offering Banana to the goddess keeps one’s physique healthy.
